TECH COLLEGE in Aalborg is one of Denmark's largest vocational schools with around 3400 students per year. The large school on Øster Uttrupvej is spread over 100,000m2, and contains a wide range of premises from regular classrooms, chemistry rooms, rooms for robotics, electrical workshops, timber halls and much more.
LITE has contributed lighting to many of the above rooms to ensure a good optical indoor climate for the school's many students and employees.
In connection with a major renovation of the school's lighting system, the aim was to find a product that could help optimize the school's learning environment, increase the well-being of the many students, and at the same time find an energy-efficient lighting solution.
For the classrooms, the choice fell on the ECOLITE product series, which meets all the school's requirements and wishes. Both teachers and students at TECHCOLLEGE say that the new light helps give students more energy and create greater attention to the board in class.
The light with ECOLITE is adjusted according to the sunlight (daylight control), which means that the luminaires themselves dim up and down in line with the daylight. This ensures the right amount of light in the classrooms throughout the day, and at the same time saves on electricity bills when full light is not needed in the lighting fixtures.
With the new lighting solution and energy renovation, TECHCOLLEGE has, after a short number of years, earned the renovation back, and the school will be left with a large annual saving.
Adjust lighting to your needs
ALPHA GEN2 has been installed in the large timber halls and workshops. The luminaires are to ensure the right amount of light for the many students who use the halls in simulation for working life. In the composite workshop and several of the school's basement/corridor areas, SPARTA luminaires have been chosen, which, like ALPHA GEN2, are industrial luminaires with a high sealing class, which protects the luminaires against the ingress of dust, among other things. In the classrooms, ECOLITE 60 luminaires have been chosen for installation in the system ceiling. In the school's corridor areas, ECOLITE 120 has been built into the system ceilings, and in areas with special ceilings, such as in the chemistry rooms in the HTX department, ECOLITE 120 luminaires with specially designed fittings have been installed.
In the classrooms, ECOLITE 60 luminaires have been chosen for installation in the system ceiling. In the school's hallways, ECOLITE 120 luminaires have been installed in the system ceilings, and in areas with special ceilings, such as in the chemistry rooms in the HTX department, ECOLITE 120 luminaires with specially designed brackets have been installed.
