Skovly Ejendomme has transformed the old Business School in Aalborg into modern apartments. The main focus has been on quality materials, lighting design and affordable housing.

Throughout the 2-year construction period, LITE A/S has been responsible for the design and delivery of the lighting for the beautiful building near Aalborg Havnefront. Just like the materials, which were all carefully selected for PORT ONE, there has been a focus on the right lighting. The building is installed with LED lighting of the highest quality both outside and inside.

Indoor lighting

The first thing you encounter in the entrance area of PORT ONE is the impressive RADIUS NO. 0 pendant lamp from ESKO Design.

All hallways are lit by LED strips built into the specially designed slatted ceilings. Hidden LED strips and recessed spotlights are a common element in the beautiful apartments, creating a bright and inviting environment.

Outdoor lighting that creates gathering spaces

It's not just the details that are meticulously considered indoors at PORT ONE. The apartment complex has a courtyard environment with seating, and mood lighting in the form of VISTA spot lights, and recessed spotlights hidden in the beds that illuminate small trees and shrubs.

At the top of the impressive building, a large rooftop terrace has been created, designed by the same architect behind Salling Rooftop, Rambøll Group. The roof terrace also has the same consistent style, with wood and seating at different levels. Here, the lighting also plays an important role in the atmosphere, and so that the terrace can be used in the evening when the sun has set.

 The entire rooftop terrace is surrounded by a glass railing, which is lit by RGB-W LED strips. LED strips have also been installed in the two orangeries on the roof terrace, making it possible to stay up there even if it rains. From the rooftop terrace there is a view of the Limfjord, and PORT ONE's beautiful courtyard environment.

The purpose of PORT ONE

Skovly Ejendomme is behind the impressive construction on Porthusgade, and the overall purpose of the wild transformation has been to create high-quality, yet affordable housing.

The impressive rental homes have one of Aalborg's most central locations on Aalborg Havnefront, just a stone's throw from the Kulturbro, and with Spritfabrikker and Cloud City as the closest neighbors, which is emerging as an art and culture center.

The central location has been of great importance to Skovly Ejendomme, who wanted to create a beautiful building to the delight of both residents and the many passers-by on the vibrant waterfront.
