Sustainability often starts small – like changing the lighting. At Hjørring Municipality's town hall, this has made a big difference to both energy consumption and the working environment.

With a focus on employee well-being and a better indoor climate, Hjørring Municipality has taken an important step towards a more sustainable and energy-efficient workplace. At the 15,000 m² town hall, the traditional lighting has now been replaced with modern LED technology.

In close collaboration with LITE A/S and Strandby El Teknik, more than 3,000 traditional luminaires have been replaced with, among others, the ECOLITE luminaire from LITE. The result is not only a significant reduction in energy consumption, but also a significant improvement in light quality, which supports a healthier and more comfortable working environment for employees.

The project is a good example of how public buildings can be energy optimized without compromising on comfort or the working environment.
