basicDIM Wireless passive module G2 is a compact and intelligent wireless control unit designed for integration into DALI-based lighting systems. Unlike the active version, this module requires an external DALI supply and is ideal for projects where the power supply is already available in the luminaire or installation.
The module uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to build a self-organizing mesh network of up to 250 nodes, enabling stable and scalable communication without the need for cabling or gateways. This solution makes it possible to establish advanced lighting control without changing the existing electrical installation.
Control is via intuitive apps for both iOS and Android and supports scenarios, time control and group setup. The module is fully compatible with the Casambi platform, opening up a wide range of features such as daylight control, motion detection and easy firmware updates directly over the air.
With a total of 4 independent push-button inputs, the basicDIM Wireless passive module G2 offers flexible local operation and supports complex control needs – e.g. zoning, dynamic lighting or scenario activation. The compact form factor and passive operation via the DALI bus make it ideal for retrofitting in both luminaires and installation boxes, where space and energy consumption are critical parameters.
